The Cultural Department is unique and strongest in the college. Cultural activities are outstanding as usual in the last five years also. Number of Cultural Activity students of the College have represented at International, National, Zonal and State level cultural events. The college has fully equipped Cultural Department for the students who has interested in cultural activities. We have a separate Auditorium hall. We also provide traditional / Classical instrument facilities for the cultural activities and events like Folk Orchestra, Folk Dance, Lok Kala Dance, Group Songs, Vocal and Classical Singing, percussion and non- percussion instrumental. With the changing trend we have noticed a major difference in the every field. Students don’t want to be bookworms; they should look for other options that could help them in the future. Besides, this in this high tech world, every student wants to acquire knowledge in every field to stay updated. Co-circular activities play a vital role in the life of students. So, following are the benefits of Cultural Activities for the students.

Practical Benefits

Extracurricular activities make students to learn how they should work for a common goal and this ultimately develops a sense of responsibility in them. It increases the level of confidence and also teaches them how to co-operate and work with people in different conditions. They learn to face the challenges that come during their education and career. Extracurricular activities like sports require a person to remain physically fit. Thus, students have to be particular about their health and diet. They have to take diet which can make them physically stronger and also do exercise daily. They start loving their body, which is very important for a happier life.

Educational Benefits

Most of the employers love to hire people who are all rounded. Sustained involvement in more than one activity reflects the talent and potential of the student. Hiring officials look for these talents in people. Besides, this when applying for admission in Colleges for higher degrees, these students get a preference too. While pursuing these activities in College along with education students learn prioritization and time management skills too. These academically and co-circularly talented students have well-groomed personality, which helps them to face the world in a better way.

Cultural Activities

The Cultural Committee of the College works with the objective of developing the academic and cultural talents of the students, improving their capabilities to work as a team and raising their level of self-confidence in interacting with fellow students and peers. Dr. T.P.Shinde is the Chairman of this Committee.

Cultural activities organized by the committee include the three day annual cultural festival "Youth Festival" , which is organized usually in the month of September- October and includes a number of intra and inter-college competitions in, Short Plays, Singing: Classical and Vocal (Solo & Group), Dance: Classical and Folk (Solo & Group), Elocution, Quiz, Debate, Acting: Mime, Skit, Road Act Play, Instrumental: Percussion and Non- Percussion (Talwadya and Surwadya) etc. Winners of the competitions are awarded certificates, trophies in the intra-college events.

College is not just a place, where the career oriented students focuses on study, while others just spend the time and sometimes attend the class. Usually, it is a place, where a person learns to be ‘whole student’. In education sector, the competition has become very tough, where every student wants to grab the first spot. On college campus, extracurricular activities work as key tool for the students to enhance their personal skills.

Some people may think that College is just for study and the sports and cultural meets are not important for the students. As we all know that young people are always energetic but they lead towards depression soon too. So, it becomes very essential to keep their mind away from sadness. The extracurricular activities not only fill students’ mind with positivity but also help them to improve their skills like dedication, involvement, balance and leadership. These skills prepare a strong future of a student. The leadership experience and holding responsibilities in these activities create a way to demonstrate headship in future.
